Facilities Technician – Commercial & Industrial Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Facilities Technician to support the operation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs of commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment across assigned properties.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting and repair of packaging machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, grounds equipment, and HVAC systems.
• Clean, lubricate, and service pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices.
• Install, modify, and replace building equipment and finishes, including ceiling tiles, door hardware, paint, flooring, and piping.
• Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests.
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for safety, preventative maintenance, and compliance.
• Maintain fire and life‑safety systems such as fire alarms and fire pumps.
• Perform carpentry tasks and snow removal when required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial property or facilities setting.
• Technical or vocational training in at least one of the following: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; commercial license may be required.
• Ability to work extended periods, on‑call, or shift work as needed.
