Facility Master Planning Engineer

About the role

Micron is hiring a Facility Master Planning Engineer for its Global Facilities team, which is part of the Global Facilities Line Planning Group. The role oversees and manages layout and space management for new construction projects, helping to plan and design facilities construction and expansion projects. It covers Micron's facility layout and space management assessment, planning, review and analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, classify and evaluate layout and space management data and concepts for new construction projects, from idea and concept design through detail design to actual construction.
• Evaluate layout and space management data for all Micron sites to create benchmarks and references for future construction projects.
• Create reports, benchmarking tools and monitoring systems for layout and space management matters.
• Work with Global and site facilities, Global Planning, Facilities Transfer, CPEE and IEs to coordinate optimal layout, efficient space management and BOC facilities design.
• Coordinate interface meetings with stakeholders on end-user requirements and ensure they are reflected in the design during concept and detailed design phases.
• Ensure roles, responsibilities and accountabilities are understood by all participating teams.
• Use AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency and quality, and share AI-enabled improvements with the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 3 years of facility planning experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Experience in fab/facilities layout planning, space management and construction projects.
• Leadership and project coordination experience.
• Ability to work in a global, multicultural team.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and basic coding/scripting.
• Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills.
