Faculty Position – Tenure-Track/Tenured in Engineering Systems and Design

About the role

The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) invites applications for a tenure‑track or tenured faculty position within its Engineering Systems and Design Pillar. The role combines teaching, research and service in a vibrant interdisciplinary environment that blends engineering with design.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality undergraduate and graduate courses in engineering systems, data science, AI/ML, operations research and related areas.
• Develop and sustain an active, externally funded research programme aligned with the Pillar’s focus on healthcare, sustainability, supply chains, urban mobility and quantitative finance.
• Supervise graduate students and contribute to curriculum development and departmental service.
• Engage with industry partners and professional communities to translate research outcomes into practice.

Required profile

• PhD in an engineering systems‑related discipline or a closely related field.
• Strong record or potential for high‑impact research in one or more of the listed methodological areas.
• Commitment to excellence in teaching and mentorship at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Willingness to collaborate across interdisciplinary teams and contribute to the Pillar’s strategic goals.
