FE Central Quality Process Engineer (GQ FECQE)

About the role

Micron is hiring a Front-End Central Quality (FE Central Quality) Process Engineer to support its quality initiative. The engineer leads new product quality risk assessment and deploys the Quality and Reliability control system, working closely with cross-functional teams to assess quality risks in front-end manufacturing and package processes. The role ensures product quality through control points, specification validation and disposition measures.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with DDQA, Fab PI, cPIE and Fab QE to establish an end-to-end Quality Risk Control (QRC) process
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify the impact of front-end processes on the package and ensure pFMEA is in place to govern process change control
• Establish inline control points with Fab PIE/RAM/QE and central RAM/PIE
• Tactically support continuous improvement and problem solving for manufacturing issues
• Support excursion material disposition through fail-mode risk assessment
• Lead global projects to deploy and improve quality-related systems and business processes
• Share best practices with quality engineers at other Micron fabs and drive cross-fab alignment
• Validate root cause, CA/PA and manufacturing improvements for quality events
• Collaborate with Test, Product, System, Mfg and SMAI to roll out quality initiatives that improve quality and WLR metrics

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Materials, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical) or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing process or related technical roles
• Preferred: knowledge of package process, fail modes and process WLR and pWLR

Required skills

• Knowledge of NAND traveler flow and fab-area process
• Model-based problem solving, data-driven decision making and effective presentation
• Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting, root cause identification and process issue resolution
• Independent and collaborative work with cross-functional teams, strong written and oral communication
