Finance Analyst – FP&A & Operations

About the role

Rakuten Asia Pte. Ltd., the regional hub for Rakuten Group in Singapore, is seeking a Finance Analyst to support the Global Product Business Division. You will own the budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes while partnering with teams across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the division’s P&L budget, forecast and actuals, identifying key variances.
• Conduct financial analysis and prepare weekly, monthly and annual reports.
• Extract, compile and organise large data sets into required templates.
• Oversee expense management, including invoice verification and revenue‑share tracking.
• Prepare and deliver financial presentations for internal stakeholders.
• Lead the budget process and drive process‑improvement initiatives, including automation.
• Liaise with Finance, Tax and Business teams to support overall financial management.
• Handle internal and external contract administration and maintain documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting; MBA, CFA or CPA is a plus.
• Strong finance/accounting background with exposure to month‑end closing and general accounting.
• Familiarity with tech‑finance concepts (software capitalization, project cost accounting) and advertising products is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical abilities, self‑starter attitude and ability to manage multiple workstreams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial issues to non‑finance audiences.
