Finance Director – Group FP&A & Strategic Planning

About the role

The Group Finance Director will join the executive leadership team to shape the financial and strategic direction of a diversified multinational group. Reporting directly to the C‑suite, this senior leader will partner with the CEO, CFO and business unit heads to drive value creation across a complex portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual strategic planning cycle, including scenario modelling and long‑range planning.
• Develop and execute group‑wide financial strategy, aligning capital allocation with growth priorities.
• Support M&A activities – deal structuring, valuation, due diligence and post‑transaction integration.
• Drive corporate development initiatives, identifying expansion, divestment and transformation opportunities.
• Strengthen financial governance, controls and reporting frameworks across multiple geographies.
• Provide executive‑level financial insights to inform board and C‑suite decisions.
• Mentor and develop a high‑performing finance leadership team.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role within a large, multi‑business organisation.
• Deep understanding of financial planning, capital management and governance frameworks.
• Strong exposure to strategy, M&A and corporate finance at a regional or global level.
• Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and operate at board level.
• Experience managing across multiple business units and geographies.
• Professional finance qualification (e.g., CPA, CA) strongly preferred.
