Finance Manager (Marine - Ship Owner)

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead the finance and accounting functions for a marine ship‑owner operating across Singapore. The role will support business growth by providing accurate financial reporting, cash‑flow management and strategic insights to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and variance analysis.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, GST, and corporate regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, insurers, and government authorities.
• Manage vessel/project costing, operational expenditures, and financial performance reporting.
• Review contracts and advise management on financial risks and commercial implications.
• Develop and implement internal controls, financial policies, and process improvements.
• Lead and mentor the finance team while supporting business expansion initiatives.
• Prepare management reports and present financial insights to senior management.

Required profile

• Senior finance professional with experience in shipping, ship‑management or offshore & marine services.
• Proven track record in vessel operations, marine engineering or offshore support sectors.
• Strong knowledge of statutory, tax and GST compliance in Singapore.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and treasury functions.
• Ability to lead and develop a finance team.
