Finance Manager - Singapore

About the role

A U.S.-headquartered specialty metals processing and distribution company, part of a large privately held international metals group, is establishing a new operation in Singapore and building a local finance function. The Finance Manager will lead the finance function for Singapore, covering financial reporting, planning and analysis, internal controls, statutory compliance, treasury coordination and finance team leadership, in partnership with local operations, U.S. headquarters and the parent group.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial close and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, reconciliations, variance analyses and performance summaries
• Maintain financial governance, internal controls, accounting policies and approval processes
• Oversee annual planning, budgeting, forecasting and long-range projections, including revenue, volume, staffing, operating expenses, capital expenditure and working capital
• Manage cash receipts, accounts payable, credit and collections, treasury reporting and banking relationships
• Oversee GST tax filing and other regulatory filings with auditors and tax advisors
• Provide financial insight to operations leadership on margins, costs, inventory, capital spending and KPIs
• Support contract management, supply chain, quality, safety and operations teams, and partner on leases, capex and equipment needs
• Drive process improvement, automation and finance system enhancements
• Lead, coach and develop finance and administrative team members

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
• 5-10 years in accounting, financial reporting or senior finance leadership, preferably in an international, manufacturing, distribution, metals or multi-site environment
• Strong knowledge of Singapore financial reporting, GST filing and audit requirements
• Proven experience leading month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, working capital management and internal controls
• Ability to partner with operations leaders and parent-company finance teams
• Preferred: CA Singapore, CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent; experience with U.S. parent companies and ERP or BI tools
• Eligible to work in Singapore and based in Singapore; periodic travel required

What we offer

• Salary from SGD 100,000 per year and up, based on experience and last compensation package
• Performance and KPI-based bonus
• Permanent contract, direct hire by the Singapore entity, with a 6-month probation
• Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
