Financial Analyst - Semiconductor Equipment

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductors and advanced displays, is hiring a Financial Analyst in Singapore. The role acts as a direct business partner to business unit executives, delivering analysis and recommendations that guide operational and financial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze built material costs to ensure correct tool valuation against the Bill of Materials and reconcile weekly
• Analyze production order material variances and work with Operations to resolve issues found
• Support worldwide operations teams in resolving finance-related transaction processing issues
• Prepare requirements for monthly and quarterly close processes, including Work In Progress, Finished Goods, Deferred and Evaluated Inventory
• Perform financial modeling and analysis to support gross margin reporting for finance executives
• Lead aged WIP inventory reviews and reserve analysis
• Lead balance sheet review meetings with finance controllers

Required profile

• Conceptual and practical expertise in the own discipline, with basic knowledge of related disciplines
• Knowledge of best practices and how the area fits with others, awareness of the competition
• Ability to act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and lead small, low-risk projects
• Solves complex problems using judgment based on multiple sources of information
• Works within broad guidelines and policies and builds consensus
