Financial Controller – Investment Accounting & Treasury

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to join a newly created finance team within a Singapore‑based private investment office. The role offers direct interaction with senior leadership and the principal, providing a unique opportunity to shape financial processes across a complex multi‑entity structure.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for multiple entities and investment structures.
• Produce consolidated management packs, including financial statements, cash‑flow analysis and performance commentary.
• Maintain accurate accounting records, reconciliations and reporting processes using Xero.
• Oversee investment accounting activities such as portfolio tracking, valuations, income and performance reporting.
• Monitor liquidity, treasury operations and foreign‑exchange exposures across global accounts.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, statutory reporting, tax compliance and audit requirements.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to deliver insights on net worth, investment performance and strategic financial matters.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• CA, CPA or ACCA qualification (completed or in progress).
• Minimum 8 years of finance experience in investment, wealth management, fund management, family office or multi‑entity environments.
• Proven experience preparing consolidated financial statements and management reports.

Required skills

• Hands‑on expertise with Xero.
• Advanced Excel modelling, reporting and financial analysis.
• Strong understanding of investment accounting, treasury management and foreign‑exchange accounting.
• Familiarity with Singapore accounting standards and statutory reporting requirements.
