Financial Planning (Expense Management) Intern

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is recruiting a Financial Planning (Expense Management) intern within its Global Corporate Banking Division for Asia (GCIB APAC) Financial Planning team. The team tracks and evaluates portfolio performance, allocates resources to support business growth and generates insights for management decisions, such as explaining historical data trends, validating strategies and forecasting. The internship runs from 11 January 2027 to 30 June 2027 and is based in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Support in-depth business analysis of GCIB APAC expenses and headcount-related matters
• Manage and run datasets and reports, maintaining data integrity across them
• Reconcile data and reports and follow up on required changes
• Collaborate with other teams and countries on data requests and support

Required profile

• Business-oriented, with a passion for working with large amounts of data to generate insights and build models that support decision-making
• Proactive, able to work independently and in a team
• Flexible and able to meet tight deadlines
• Analytical mind with an inclination for problem-solving and enjoyment of big datasets
• Open to candidates with a good knowledge or interest in data systems and processes, to help build internal tools for efficiency

Knowledge of programming languages and analytical tools, and an understanding of financial processes, is an advantage. Only Singaporean and PR students are eligible; the internship is open to students from partner universities in Singapore.
