Financial Services Assurance Manager (Banking and Capital Markets)

About the role

PwC's Financial Services Assurance practice, described as Asia's top financial services practice, works with organisations to strengthen trust and transparency in financial reporting. It is seeking a manager with strong financial services audit experience to join its Banking and Capital Markets team and take part in a broad range of statutory audit assignments for banking and capital markets clients.

Key responsibilities

• Define and manage projects to meet objectives and budget
• Demonstrate knowledge of risk management and deliver high-quality work
• Direct and coach junior team members
• Manage internal and external stakeholders, translating their expectations into quality, balanced outputs
• Bring relevant firm expertise to client discussions and convert service opportunities into proposals

Required profile

• Relevant accounting qualifications
• 6-8 years of demonstrable experience in a similar role at a Big 4 accounting firm
• Experience in statutory and regulatory audits of banking and capital markets clients
• Understanding of commercial issues facing businesses in this sector
• Effective day-to-day client management and relationship building

Required skills

• Sound understanding of IFRS/SFRS and SAS/ISA; US GAAP knowledge is useful
• Project management and team working skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
