Frontend Engineer – ReactJS

About the role

Capgemini is seeking a Frontend Engineer specialized in ReactJS to create responsive, scalable web applications. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver high‑quality digital solutions that improve user experience and drive business results.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using ReactJS and related technologies.
• Build reusable UI components and optimise them for speed, scalability and responsiveness.
• Translate UX/UI wireframes into clean, maintainable code.
• Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Write well‑documented code following engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging and performance optimisation.
• Ensure cross‑browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
• Work within Agile/Scrum teams and contribute to continuous improvement of development standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 4–6 years of professional frontend development experience.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and collaboration skills.

Required skills

• ReactJS, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3.
• State‑management libraries such as Redux or Context API.
• Build tools/frameworks like Webpack, Vite, Babel.
• Experience consuming REST APIs and handling asynchronous data.
• Version control with Git.
• Testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress) – a plus.
• TypeScript, Next.js, CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployment environments – preferred.
• Understanding of accessibility standards and frontend security best practices.
