Full Stack AI Engineer (Contract)

About the role

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is seeking a skilled Software Engineer for its Gen AI team to build next-generation applications powered by advanced AI. The role focuses on hands-on implementation of AI-driven applications using modern AI frameworks, while ensuring robust governance and operational excellence. You will implement and build production-grade web applications that use large language models and agentic AI systems, working with modern AI frameworks to create user-facing applications that improve productivity for AI developers, data scientists and end users.

Key responsibilities

• Agentic web application development: build scalable applications that enable autonomous AI agents using frameworks such as LangGraph, and create interfaces for users to interact with, monitor and control AI agents.
• Search and retrieval: implement web services and APIs for searching large data repositories (e.g. Elastic, Redis), build data ingestion pipelines and vector indexing workflows, and handle errors and query reformulation.
• User interface and experience: build dashboards, configuration panels and monitoring interfaces so MAS officers can use complex AI systems easily.
• Performance optimisation: implement caching, request queuing and load balancing for AI workloads.
• Security and compliance: implement authentication, authorisation and data protection, and ensure audit logging and adherence to MAS operational controls and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a full stack developer, with a track record of enterprise-grade applications that are performant, scalable and secure.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholder priorities and adapt quickly to change in a fast-paced environment.
• Shortlisting may involve a medical declaration and/or further assessment.

• Python web frameworks (FastAPI, Django) and JavaScript/TypeScript
