FX Derivatives Specialist, VP

About the role

Barclays is looking for an experienced FX Derivatives Specialist to support the launch and growth of its Private Bank's FX OTC Derivatives capability in Singapore. The role acts as subject matter expert during the design, governance, implementation and commercialisation phases, then partners with Relationship Managers, Investment Advisors and Sales teams to deliver tailored FX solutions for private banking clients. The position is regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).

Key responsibilities

• Act as a bridge between Product teams and clients, giving in-depth knowledge and support for a defined range of products.
• Provide SME expertise on products and services, covering features, functionalities, benefits, limitations, risks and compliance.
• Analyse market trends, regulatory requirements and sales and customer feedback data to support product development and share findings with stakeholders.
• Respond to customer inquiries, understand complex personal and corporate financial situations and propose suitable product solutions, supporting issue resolution and product usage guidance.
• Help develop and execute marketing materials such as pitch decks and client presentations.
• Take part in training sessions and workshops to share product knowledge with colleagues and stakeholders.
• As Vice President, contribute to or set strategy, plan resources, budgets and policies, manage processes, and advise functional and senior management on impacts and alignment.
• Manage and mitigate risks, strengthen controls and governance, and collaborate with Trading, Operations, Legal, Compliance and Risk teams so transactions comply with MAS regulations, client suitability and internal governance standards.

Required profile

• 8-10 years of experience in FX markets within private banking, wealth management or institutional environments.
• Strong knowledge of FX products, pricing, execution and trade lifecycle management.
• Ability to work closely with Trading, Operations, Legal, Compliance and Risk teams.
• Legal right to work in Singapore; applicants holding a Barclays-sponsored visa or needing sponsorship must declare this.
