Grades 9-10 and MYP Coordinator, High School

About the role

Stamford American International School, an IB World School in Singapore, is looking for a Grades 9-10 and MYP Coordinator to join its High School team. The coordinator leads the quality of teaching and learning in Grades 9-10 through the effective implementation of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Stamford 9-10 courses, ensuring curricular coherence, teacher growth and high standards of pedagogy, assessment and reporting aligned with the school's framework.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject discipline, with a valid teaching certification or license
• Minimum 5 years of teaching in a secondary school environment
• Minimum 3 years of academic operations management in a secondary school
• Demonstrated mastery of IB MYP Standards and Practices, inquiry-based unit design, criterion-related assessment and language policy integration
• Proven ability to lead professional development, conduct classroom learning walks, mentor new faculty and apply High-Impact Teaching Strategies (H.I.T.S.)
• Full compliance with Cognita safeguarding and child protection requirements

Preferred qualifications

• Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction or a related field
• Prior experience as an MYP Coordinator
• Experience leading or facilitating an IB MYP self-study evaluation visit
• IB Workshop Leader, Consultant or School Visiting Team membership
• Prior experience in a large, multicultural international school
