Graduate Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

ResMed's Manufacturing Engineering team turns innovative product designs into safe, high-quality, scalable manufacturing solutions. As a Graduate Manufacturing Engineer based in Tuas, Singapore, you join a Product Focus Team (PFT) and work closely with Production, Quality and Product Development to support day-to-day manufacturing and drive continuous improvement. The role suits hands-on engineering graduates who want to learn on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Support the PFT by learning manufacturing and assembly processes and helping production teams troubleshoot process and equipment issues to maintain output, quality and safety.
• Help with process deviations, defects and equipment challenges.
• Create, update and maintain manufacturing documentation such as work instructions, process flows and validation records, and support process validation and verification under regulated Quality System requirements.
• Ensure processes comply with OH&S, GMP and quality standards.
• Identify improvements for manual and semi-automated assembly and suggest mechanical fixtures, jigs, tooling and simple automation solutions.
• Take part in Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve cycle times.
• Work with Product Development so designs are robust and manufacturable, and collaborate with Production, Quality, Supply Chain and Engineering peers.
• Receive mentorship from experienced engineers and progress from routine tasks to project-based contributions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Preferred: interest in hands-on manufacturing and shop-floor work, and exposure to final product assembly environments through internships or projects.
• Preferred: basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma, familiarity with mechanical design concepts, fixtures or automation ideas, and comfort in a regulated manufacturing or quality-focused environment.
