Group and Health Pricing Actuary

About the role

Prudential is hiring for a Group and Health Pricing position focused on the analysis of performance KPIs. The role covers documentation and compliance for Group and Health, supports business-as-usual and ad-hoc work, and works closely with the modelling team on the Prushield prophet model.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure proper documentation process for Group and Health
• Ensure compliance with department and regulatory requirements
• Support annual and monthly experience analysis
• Work with group business and reinsurers on group quotations
• Perform product pricing and feasibility studies, conduct market research for product initiatives and carry out required profit testing
• Prepare responses to regulator queries and develop studies on the adequacy of pricing assumptions
• Build statistical studies for product initiatives and assist in ad-hoc actuarial investigations
• Work with the modelling team to lead the development and maintenance of the Prushield prophet model

Required profile

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in actuarial roles
• Qualified actuary from a recognized professional actuarial body
• Degree in Actuarial science
• Good technical, analytical and problem-solving skills, able to work independently
• Self-motivated, outcome-oriented, with good communication skills

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of Prophet systems
• Hands-on experience of actuarial valuation data processing and management
• Experience with the Prophet model and ALS
• Data processing and conversion software such as SQL/DCS is preferred
