Group Financial Controller – Private Equity

About the role

We are supporting a global investment holding firm with interests in healthcare, financial services and energy. They are seeking a Group Financial Controller to lead controllership, cash‑flow oversight and strategic finance partnership across multiple countries, reporting to the Group CFO.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership on group strategy, budgeting, forecasting and long‑term planning.
• Own group cash flow, liquidity, capital allocation and capex planning.
• Oversee group‑wide management reporting, consolidation and financial statements.
• Manage multi‑entity accounting, intercompany transactions, transfer pricing and tax matters.
• Lead audits and ensure timely, compliant financial reporting.
• Strengthen governance, internal controls and financial policies across the group.
• Drive process improvements, standardisation and operational efficiency.
• Support strategic initiatives including investments, divestments and cross‑functional projects.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA/ACCA or equivalent), preferably Big 4 trained.
• 12‑15 years of overall experience with strong technical accounting and consolidation expertise.
• Experience at group level managing multi‑entity/ regional operations.
• Proven exposure to cash‑flow management, capex and treasury functions.
• Background in PE‑backed, holding company or investment platform environments.
• Strong business partnering capability with senior stakeholders.
• Resilient, hands‑on, commercially minded with exceptional attention to detail.
