Group Manager - Food Safety & Quality Management

About the role

Nestlé R&D Center, Singapore is looking for a Group Manager for Food Safety & Quality Management (FSQM). The role is the guardian of food safety and compliance and drives Nestlé's continuous excellence toward zero defects, protecting consumer trust. It is a permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality and food safety expertise and support to R&D and the new product centre, and ensure food safety strategy, standards and processes are executed there.
• Cascade category-specific standards, guidelines and training material, and build expertise by training and coaching others.
• Provide technical assistance to R&D and operational units on microbiological analytical competencies.
• Support continuous improvement to reduce waste and eliminate defects, and help implement IT and AI-based tools for data analysis and risk-based assessments.
• Manage HACCP and pFSA for R&D, S&T and new products, and support Idea to Launch projects and pilot plant trials.
• Ensure compliance with local SFA and NEA requirements, and manage certification for NMS and annual internal audits.
• Lead root cause analysis, close quality issues and act as member of the crisis committee for product-related incidents.
• Develop and implement the R&D quality strategy, monitor it with KPIs and manage change.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent, preferably in microbiology, chemistry, food science or engineering.
• Line management experience leading a group, such as a QA manager, production or application group manager, or factory manager.
• Management exposure across several functions and different factory or market environments.
• Proven track record of delivering results with cross-functional teams.
