HAUV Pilot Technician

About the role

Your role is HAUV Pilot Technician. Your daily schedule will include frequent interactions with customers, directly reporting to the Operations Lead. You are meticulous, hardworking, and equally comfortable working at operational sites (nearshore and offshore) and sea trials. You are comfortable travelling to remote vessels and offshore platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Operate HAUVs for inspection of underwater infrastructure.
• Run the system as an autonomous HAUV rather than a conventional ROV.
• Help develop and contribute to concepts of autonomous operations.
• Prepare field equipment before and after deployments.
• Assist engineering in troubleshooting on‑site and off‑site issues.
• Support electrical and mechanical integration and assembly of components.
• Participate in rigorous testing for pressure, vibration, EMC‑EMI, thermal, corrosion and other environmental requirements.
• Assist logistics, including updating administrative documents and handling parts.

Required profile

• Active learner with a demonstrated interest in autonomous intelligent machines/robots.
• Practical hands‑on experience.
• Technical certificate of competence (NITEC/Diploma) – preferred.
• Driver’s license – a plus.
• Skipper/Steersman/Helmsman licence – a plus.
