Head of DevOps

About the role

We are seeking a visionary Head of DevOps to lead transformational initiatives at a leading global financial institution. You will shape the next generation of cloud infrastructure, developer experience, automation, resiliency, and platform engineering at massive scale.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute enterprise DevOps and platform engineering strategy across global technology organizations.
• Lead modernization of infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, observability, automation, and SRE practices.
• Build scalable, secure, highly resilient platforms for mission‑critical banking and trading applications.
• Drive cloud transformation across hybrid and multi‑cloud environments.
• Partner with CTOs, application development leaders, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and business stakeholders.
• Establish best practices for release engineering, IaC, containerization, and platform security.
• Manage globally distributed teams of DevOps engineers, SREs, platform engineers, and technical leads.
• Oversee large‑scale programs, budgets, vendor relationships, and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in infrastructure, DevOps, cloud or platform engineering within large enterprises.
• Proven leadership of global engineering organizations and large transformation programs.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in highly regulated financial services or fintech environments preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
