IDM Parts Engineer, Supply Chain Management

About the role

The IDM Parts Engineer will be responsible for planning and ensuring the uninterrupted supply of critical materials such as photoresist, thinner/developer and chemicals for semiconductor wafer fabrication. Working closely with production modules and suppliers, you will manage forecasts, purchase orders and delivery schedules to support manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Photoresist Planner – collaborate with the relevant module, raise material purchase forecasts and purchase requisitions, place orders and track deliveries.
• Thinner/Developer Planner – work with the module to understand demand, raise forecasts and requisitions, place orders and monitor deliveries.
• Chemical/Slurry Lorry Planner – coordinate demand, raise forecasts and requisitions, place purchase orders and schedule deliveries to ensure continuous supply.
• Material Planning – monitor material requirements, inventory levels and delivery schedules to meet production needs.
• Supply Monitoring – track purchase orders and deliveries, identify potential shortages or delays and coordinate recovery actions.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration – work with modules, procurement, production control, engineering, warehouse and suppliers to ensure material readiness.
• Planning & Analytics – maintain accurate planning data, support reporting, analysis and continuous improvement of planning processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering or related disciplines.
• 3–5 years of experience in supply chain, material planning, procurement or semiconductor manufacturing.
• Experience in semiconductor wafer fabrication is preferred.
• Good understanding of material planning, MRP/ERP systems and procurement processes.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Power BI and data analytics are a plus.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
