Incoming Quality Control Engineer

About the role

Micron is hiring an Engineer for Incoming Quality Control (QEM) at its Fab 10N/X site. The role drives quality consistency for all incoming materials, improves IQC business processes and works with suppliers and global stakeholders on supplier quality management.

Key responsibilities

• Drive quality consistency for all incoming materials
• Continuously improve IQC business processes
• Set up and maintain SAP QM (Quality Management) and SQM/MQM for incoming materials
• Perform incoming material inspection and characterize key incoming materials
• Set up an SPC monitoring program and reaction mechanism
• Manage materials disposition through incoming material MRB
• Work with global stakeholders on supplier quality management
• Use AI-enabled and AI-assisted methods, including LLMs, AI agents and generative AI tools, to improve inspection strategies, automate quality data analysis and detect anomalies
• Ensure the QMS and business processes are effective, deliver their intended outputs, conform to requirements and meet customer needs, and report performance and improvement opportunities to management

Required profile

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials Engineering, with at least 2 years of experience in frontend process or equipment roles
• Strong analytical, logical and critical thinking skills
• Effective communicator who collaborates across all levels, with a growth mindset and a customer-service attitude
• Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus; interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred
• Demonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable
