Industrial Engineer

About the role

Micron is hiring an Industrial Engineer to use advanced analytics and AI tools to perform capacity analysis, propose strategies to management and run plans supporting volume forecasts across tactical and long-term horizons. You will work with Central Planning, Factory Network and Supply Chain teams to develop scenarios and seize strategic opportunities for the site. Familiarity with Generative AI, Agentic AI or other AI-driven solutions is highlighted.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and validate the capacity model and capital plan to assess cost-effective factory loading needs
• Coordinate tool installation and location with facilities personnel and area engineers
• Apply AI to data modeling, capacity optimization and capital scheduling
• Deploy project management and constraint debottlenecking strategies to meet manufacturing commitments in the tactical horizon
• Use visualization methods to present key factory constraints and drive manufacturing and cost improvements
• Collaborate with stakeholders, integrate AI-assisted tools into daily work and share AI-enabled improvements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer engineering or a related field (preferable)
• At least 2 years of demonstrated leadership, for example in university or co-curricular activities
• Verbal fluency and effective written communication and presentation skills
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and work in a dynamic environment
• Strong analytical, logical and critical thinking skills, and ability to collaborate across all levels
• Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron preferred

Required skills

• Proficiency in M365 apps, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Prior programming work, including using free Gen AI tools
• Hands-on experience with AI tools such as chatbots, agentic AI and automation
• AI literacy applied responsibly to research, analysis, content creation and operational tasks
