Instrumentation Engineer

About the role

CAST Laboratories is seeking a junior Instrumentation Engineer to lead geotechnical instrumentation installation and monitoring on construction projects in Singapore. You will work closely with project teams to ensure timely and quality delivery of site activities.

Key responsibilities

• Execute project operational activities within agreed timeframes, resources and specifications.
• Lead hands‑on geotechnical instrumentation installation, calibration and monitoring.
• Assist the site engineer/project manager in resolving site issues and maintaining smooth project delivery.
• Prepare, design and submit drawings, reports and related documentation to stakeholders.
• Plan daily site tasks, monitor progress and quantify work completed.
• Obtain necessary authority or in‑house clearances before commencing work.
• Coordinate with the main civil contractor and manage subcontractor activities as required.
• Conduct instrumentation testing, data acquisition, verification, processing and presentation.
• Prepare and submit instrument monitoring reports and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure compliance with WSHE requirements and attend project meetings and site inspections.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Geology or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of construction experience; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and dynamic environment.
• Detail‑oriented, accountable and able to deliver assigned tasks.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
