Intern - F10 Mfg Implant (Bench) - Process Control Board Failure Analysis

About the role

Micron is looking for an intern for its Manufacturing - Implant Bench team in F10, Singapore. The project focuses on identifying component failures in Process Control Boards and developing a standardized refurbishment process. It gives hands-on exposure to circuit diagnostics, component evaluation, technical documentation and engineering problem solving in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the bench engineering team to understand Process Control Board functions, circuit diagrams and input/output signals.
• Apply structured diagnostic methods to identify component-level failures and potential failure modes.
• Evaluate and recommend replacement components according to technical and quality requirements.
• Develop and validate a Standard Operating Procedure for Process Control Board refurbishment.
• Explore the use of AI-enabled tools to improve technical documentation or information organization.
• Deliver documented failure analyses, replacement component criteria and recommendations, and a final project presentation.

Required profile

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
• Able to commit to a full-time internship of at least 5 months.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical information and communicate clearly.

Required skills

• Understanding of electronic circuits, circuit diagrams and I/O signal analysis.
• Basic familiarity with AI-enabled tools for documentation or workflow improvement.
