Intern - F10 PEE Wet (Semiconductor Process Engineering)

About the role

Micron is offering an internship in its F10 site in Singapore within the Process Engineering department, under the project title PSK Thermal Optimization for Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing. The intern investigates how chuck temperature affects wafer thermal behaviour, film properties and process performance, combining experimentation, Design of Experiments, statistical analysis, process modelling and data visualization. High-performing interns may be considered for future full-time employment.

Key responsibilities

• Study the assigned plasma strip process, equipment configuration, process parameters and thermal behaviour.
• Plan and run experiments on the impact of chuck temperature on wafer thermal behaviour, film properties and process performance.
• Carry out Design of Experiments studies to find significant process-temperature relationships.
• Analyze data using statistical techniques, process modelling, visualization and AI-enabled workflows.
• Deliver a thermal-characterization and DoE report, a documented analysis of chuck temperature versus process performance, a predictive analytics model or methodology, optimization recommendations and a final technical presentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related discipline.
• Ability to commit to a full-time internship of at least four months.
• Interest in semiconductor manufacturing, machine learning, generative AI and AI-enabled data analysis.

Required skills

• Familiarity with statistical analysis, Design of Experiments, data visualization or process modelling.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel; Python, JMP, Minitab or Power BI is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, experimental and problem-solving skills, and clear communication of technical findings.
