Intern - F10 Process & Equipment Engineer (AI CMP Dashboard)

About the role

Micron is looking for an intern in its Fab 10N/X facility in Singapore to join the Process Equipment Engineering (PEE) team. The project builds an AI-enabled dashboard that combines fab equipment and manufacturing data to spot early signs of wafer breakage, equipment degradation and yield excursions. The intern works on data exploration, predictive analytics and visualization, and may be considered for future full-time opportunities depending on performance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze historical equipment and manufacturing datasets for CMP operations.
• Correlate tool ID, workstation data, preventive maintenance records and SPC violations with wafer breakage events and yield excursions.
• Develop an AI-enabled risk scoring model from equipment reliability data.
• Create interactive Power BI dashboards showing equipment health, excursion trends and breakage risk.
• Evaluate the use of Generative AI, AI Assistants or Agentic AI for automated reporting and insights.
• Deliverables include a CMP breakage risk index, an equipment health scorecard, Pareto analysis of breakage drivers, a top-10 high-risk tool dashboard and an automated reporting solution.

Required profile

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer, Data Science, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Able to commit to a full-time 5-month internship from January to May 2027.
• Experience with large datasets and strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Basic programming in Python, SQL or similar data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with Power BI.
• Desirable: statistical analysis, machine learning or AI concepts.
