Intern - FE Materials Procurement Operations

About the role

Micron's Global Procurement team is looking for an intern to join the Front-End Materials Procurement Operations team in Singapore. The intern takes part in a structured transformation project called AI-Enabled Procurement Analytics and Process Transformation, gaining hands-on exposure to procurement systems, strategic sourcing, performance analytics, artificial intelligence and robotic process automation. The goal is to build a digital solution that improves procurement visibility, analytical insight and workflow efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze procurement and supply-chain data to find trends, risks, capacity constraints and improvement opportunities.
• Develop an AI-enabled tracking and analytics solution for selected procurement strategies, supplier indicators or business requirements.
• Apply Agentic AI, data visualization or robotic process automation to improve reporting and decision-making.
• Build or enhance procurement tools, dashboards and analytical processes.
• Review selected workflows with cross-functional stakeholders and propose improvements.
• Analyze sourcing strategies, supplier performance, capacity constraints, metrics and cost-optimization opportunities.

Required profile

• Pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Science, Chemistry, Data Analytics, Information Systems or a related field.
• Able to commit to a full-time internship of at least five months, from January to May or June 2027.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented and comfortable in a global, fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Strong analytical, data interpretation, structured problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint or Power BI; interest in UiPath, Tableau, Power Automate or similar automation tools.
• Familiarity with AI tools, Agentic AI, Generative AI, AI assistants and data analytics.

Interns may be considered for future internship or full-time roles depending on business needs and the recruitment process. Deliverables include a tracking system, an AI/automation prototype, a documented process review and a final project report and presentation.
