Intern, Financial Markets and Group Treasury Product Controller

About the role

ING Wholesale Bank's internship programme in Singapore offers a 6-month placement (January to June 2027) in the Financial Markets and Group Treasury Product Control function. Product control safeguards financial integrity and regulatory compliance, manages operational risks and supports informed decisions across trading activities, ensuring that valuations, the balance sheet and profit and loss of trading and banking books are measured, controlled and reported in line with IFRS accounting and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Daily P&L reporting and risk-based P&L analysis in terms of market risk factors
• Ad hoc ongoing projects related to product and valuation control
• Consolidation of daily P&L reporting for the Asia region
• Assisting the team lead with specific valuation and P&L analysis as needed
• Exposure to the policies and procedures of the desk, covering SOX, key control testing, audit, IFRS accounting standards, regulations and the bank's risk management philosophy

Required profile

• Major in Finance, Accounting and/or Quantitative Finance (a plus)
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Compliance and integrity
• Good time management, adaptability, collaboration and proactiveness

Required skills

• Sufficient knowledge of MS Excel
• VBA or coding knowledge is a plus
