Intern - Medical Technologist (Targeted Cell Isolation)

About the role

Labcorp is seeking an Intern - Medical Technologist (Targeted Cell Isolation) to join its team in Singapore. The internship runs from January to June 2027, is full-time and onsite, lasts at least 20 weeks and is paid. Targeted cell isolation prepares high-quality samples for downstream phenotypic and functional analyses, especially in clinical trials and precision medicine.

Key responsibilities

• Learn about the assays used in clinical and commercial applications that support the discovery of new diagnostics and treatments.
• Attend training sessions supporting the daily activities of the department.
• Receive and sort samples in Envision, support batch creation and preparation.
• Help develop a streamlined, repeatable process for managing inventory of fast-moving consumables, with forecasting based on usage trends.
• Gain exposure to instrument and equipment maintenance in a laboratory setting.
• Experience PBMC isolation using donor blood samples.
• May take part in projects aimed at improving operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Current enrollment in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Medical Sciences, Biochemistry or a related Bachelor's degree program; other degrees may be considered.
• Final-year students expected to graduate in July/August 2027 are preferred, but students at all levels are encouraged to apply.
• Good organization and multitasking ability, effective verbal and written communication, and strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

• Proactive, "can-do" mindset when resolving issues.
