Intern - NAND Process and Equipment Engineer

About the role

Micron is recruiting a Process and Equipment Engineering intern at its Fab 10 facility in Singapore, working on the F10 CMOS Matching and RegE Wafer Edge Exclusion Programme. The intern joins Process and Equipment Engineers to study CMOS matching analysis and wafer edge yield enhancement in advanced semiconductor manufacturing, with exposure to yield learning, inline process monitoring, defect characterization and data-driven optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Study CMOS matching behavior and wafer edge performance characteristics.
• Analyze manufacturing, metrology, inspection and defect data to find yield improvement opportunities.
• Evaluate factors behind process variation and yield mismatches across manufacturing populations.
• Apply data analytics, automation and AI-enabled tools to improve engineering investigations and productivity.
• Develop analytical methods, automation or visualization tools, and generate engineering recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate improvement opportunities.
• Deliver a technical assessment, data analysis and visualization solutions, an analytical or AI-enabled tool, engineering recommendations, a final presentation and a technical report.

Required profile

• Full-time internship commitment of 6 months.
• Preferred: Chemical, Materials, Electrical, Semiconductor or related engineering studies.
• Preferred: coursework or projects in semiconductor manufacturing, process engineering, materials engineering, yield enhancement or statistical process control.

Required skills

• Strong foundation in semiconductor process engineering or manufacturing science.
• Basic programming in Python, MATLAB or similar tools.
• Familiarity with automation, data visualization or AI-enabled engineering tools.
• Statistical analysis, data analytics and engineering problem-solving.
