Intern, Probe Process Control

About the role

Micron is looking for an intern to join its Probe team on a project titled "Target Traveler Deployment for Enhanced Process Control in Semiconductor Probe Operations". The goal is to develop and deploy a digital Target Traveler solution that standardizes process control and improves execution consistency across Probe operations, turning critical process requirements into an automated system with real-time visibility and compliance tracking.

Key responsibilities

• Review current Probe process flows and identify critical control points needing Target Traveler deployment.
• Define process control requirements, parameter limits and escalation criteria with engineering stakeholders.
• Configure and deploy Target Traveler templates for selected Probe operations.
• Develop data collection and reporting mechanisms to monitor compliance and process performance.
• Analyze process deviations and recommend improvements.
• Create dashboards and visualizations for real-time monitoring of execution and compliance.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• Ability to commit to a full-time internship of at least 5 months from January to May 2027.
• Basic understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, process control or industrial automation is advantageous.

Required skills

• Experience with Python, SQL, Power BI, Tableau or similar data analytics tools.
• Familiarity with AI, machine learning, data analytics and statistical methods for spotting trends, anomalies and deviations.
• Interest in using Generative AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT to improve productivity and automation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, and stakeholder management.
