Intern - QEM Contamination Control (Polytechnic Students)

About the role

Micron Technology is looking for polytechnic students to join its Fab 10N/X as an intern in contamination control (QEM CC) for the cleanroom manufacturing process. The internship supports the daily operations of the contamination control team and helps establish cleanroom protocols that ensure good particle and chemical particle control in the manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to ERT and security alerts and make sure gowning room logistics are adequate during evacuations.
• Respond to contamination alarms and report abnormal conditions to engineering and other stakeholders.
• Sample various areas of the Fab for contamination (swabs, bacteria, airborne and liquid particles, airborne molecular contamination) and work with the chemical lab to analyse them and obtain results in a timely way.
• Ensure real-time monitoring systems are operating and recording properly.
• Carry out primary investigations into contamination issues and provide contamination data to engineering for analysis.
• Complete special projects and support contamination control engineering projects.
• Make sure team members follow approved cleanroom protocols and act as a contamination control resource for the Fab, Probe, Facilities and supporting groups.
• Work with the contamination control engineer to set up the cleanroom protocol programme and controls.
