Intern, Regional Public Affairs

About the role

Grab's Public Affairs team partners with governments to support national policies, engage in public policy discussions and drive initiatives for positive technological impact. The company is looking for an intern to support strategy implementation, public affairs efforts and the development of partnerships with government, community and private partners. The internship is fully on-site in Singapore, runs for 6 months from January 2027 to June 2027, and suits students balancing academic commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse public policy issues, develop positions and recommendations, and collaborate with regional teams to promote Grab's social mission
• Develop strategies and projects for Public Affairs goals, working with other teams to create plans and programmes
• Research public policy issues at the intersection of technology and society, and develop campaigns to enhance Grab's reputation, including planning dialogues and roundtable discussions
• Create collateral and materials providing industry insights to inform markets
• Help develop partnerships by coordinating between external partners and internal teams to build partnership programmes

Required profile

• Undergraduate or Master's student in Public Policy, Business Administration, International Relations, Economics, Political Science, Social Science or a related field
• Knowledge of technology industry policy issues and Grab's business
• Experience evaluating challenges and developing solutions
• Able to express ideas clearly in writing and verbally, and to conduct research and synthesize insights applicable to business

Required skills

• Proficiency in project management
• Understanding of the business impact of policy topics
