Investment Advisor - Greater China

About the role

Julius Baer is hiring an Investment Advisor who is a member of CC&A (Singapore) - Greater China (GC). The advisor fulfils the financial ambitions set by the Team Head Client Coverage & Advisory (Singapore) - GC, ensuring active risk management and meeting regulatory and internal compliance expectations. The role works closely with Relationship Managers to give clients high-quality investment advice and asset allocation focused on investment performance, while contributing to the growth of assets under management.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clients with investment and asset allocation advice tailored to their needs and risk profile, and conduct regular portfolio reviews
• Represent and market the team to attract growth in assets under management, and consult regularly with front office representatives on client needs
• Strengthen team spirit, motivate colleagues and give feedback to improve performance
• Monitor client portfolios for asset allocation and diversification, and meet all legal, regulatory and compliance standards, including local user manuals
• Assess practices to mitigate risks and uphold values such as honesty, integrity, fair dealing and conflict-of-interest management

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years' relevant experience in the financial industry, as an experienced Investment Advisor managing clients in the Greater China market
• Deep knowledge of the Greater China market and experience covering equities, fixed income, funds, SP and FX
• Ability to work independently and in a global team, with strong communication skills and a client-centred approach
• Linguistic proficiency in Chinese Mandarin and cultural awareness is an advantage

Required skills

• Strong academic education in economics, business, finance or financial engineering
• Further education in financial markets (CFA, ESG etc.) is a plus
• Strong fundamentals across asset classes and a global portfolio approach
