IT Engineer - Semiconductor Manufacturing

About the role

Micron is hiring an IT Engineer for its Fab 10W site in Singapore. You will support software systems in a highly automated semiconductor manufacturing environment, working with global IT colleagues to turn requirements into efficient technical solutions and acting as the IT technical authority within Micron.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in application lifecycle management for software systems in a highly automated semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Follow IT and manufacturing automation trends and join technical and business analysis sessions to understand requirements.
• Work with global IT colleagues to turn requirements into effective and efficient technical solutions.
• Act as IT technical authority and advise senior management on improvements to processes, procedures and software development.
• Ensure Secure Software Development Lifecycle standards, including risk assessment, secure coding standards and compliance with the internal governance framework.
• Deliver high-quality software releases with acceptance testing, verification and end-user training.
• Keep applications and hardware systems up to date with updates and patches.
• Use system monitoring to detect and fix issues and prevent unscheduled downtime.
• Leverage AI-powered development, automation and analytics tools to improve delivery, code quality and efficiency, and keep developing AI proficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics/Computer/Software Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent.
• Creative and enthusiastic about implementing innovative IT solutions to solve important business problems.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and adaptability to a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Ability to respond to and solve high-priority manufacturing software application problems as required.
• Exposure to agile development methodology is advantageous.

Required skills

• Programming languages such as C# / C++, Perl.NET Core, Angular, SQL or similar.
• Software project management skills.
