Journeyman Technician – Shipboard Networks (CANES)

About the role

Our Singapore team is seeking a Journeyman Technician to support shipboard networks, including the Automated Digital Network System (ADNS), Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services (CANES), and related tactical networks. The role involves sustaining and modernising these systems in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform system installations, sustainment, upgrades and distance support for servers, networking devices, workstations and storage equipment.
• Enforce configuration management and provide emergent Casualty Report (CASREP) support to maintain network readiness.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of issues and recommend permanent configuration changes.
• Coordinate troubleshooting and integration design with StratasCorp dispatcher, shipboard crews, external contractors and vendors.
• Interface with MSC customers to guide proper maintenance of shipboard networks and associated equipment.
• Attend technical meetings, report status and progress, and prepare data for reports and data calls.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with a Secret clearance.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel and relocate to Singapore.
• Possession of IAT Level 2 or higher.
