Junior Chef 2/3, One-Ninety Restaurant

About the role

One-Ninety Restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Singapore is looking for a Junior Chef 2/3 (Commis 2/3). The Junior Chef is an essential member of the culinary team, preparing food requests according to guest orders, production requirements and quality standards while keeping a safe and sanitary work environment. The kitchen offers many opportunities for learning and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive work environment and uphold the hotel's high standards of professionalism.
• Handle daily kitchen operations and maintain proper station setup.
• Monitor the temperatures of chillers, freezers and cooking processes, and keep the work area clean, organised and sanitised with proper food labelling.
• Follow standard recipes and plate presentations, and watch out for guest allergies and dietary restrictions.
• Ensure timely food service and communicate with the Sous Chefs and Executive Chef about menu items and any issues or shortages.
• Store items properly at the end of each shift and help prepare menu items and specials.

Required profile

• Preferably 1 year of experience as a Junior Chef/Commis, with a luxury brand.
• Passion for culinary excellence.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Adaptable in a fast-paced environment, a team player and able to learn quickly.
• High attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
