Junior Customer Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Customer Engineer to join our field service team in Singapore. You will work alongside senior engineers to ensure our semiconductor equipment operates at peak performance for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior Field Service Engineers with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment upgrades at customer sites.
• Use digital analytics and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas delivery systems.
• Communicate directly with customers about service activities and equipment status.
• Carry out additional operational and technical duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Associate degree, military technical training, trade certification, or equivalent field‑service experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in field service, customer support, or equipment maintenance.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics and follow safety, environmental, and health requirements.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to obtain a passport for travel.

Required skills

• Basic troubleshooting and diagnostic experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum technology and thermodynamics.
• Proficiency with hand tools, digital multimeter and other test equipment.
• Basic use of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and personal protective equipment (coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, face shields).
