Junior Sous Chef

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Sous Chef to support the daily operations of our kitchen across Singapore. You will work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to ensure high‑quality food preparation, efficient service and strict adherence to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in day‑to‑day kitchen operations and oversee specific sections such as grill, pastry or sauces.
• Supervise Chef de Partie and Commis Chefs, stepping in to lead shifts when required.
• Support menu development, follow recipes and plating standards, and provide feedback for improvements.
• Ensure all kitchen areas comply with food safety, sanitation and HACCP procedures.
• Help manage inventory, control waste and track food costs.
• Communicate effectively with front‑of‑house staff and report issues to senior chefs.
• Lead kitchen operations during assigned shifts, especially during peak periods.

Required profile

• Junior‑level culinary professional with strong cooking skills across multiple kitchen sections.
• Ability to supervise and train junior staff while maintaining service timelines.
• Attention to detail in food presentation and portion control.
• Good time‑management and multitasking abilities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations.
