Key Account Manager – Travel Market

About the role

The Key Account Manager – Travel Market will drive sales growth and profitability with key accounts and distributors in the Travel Retail sector across Asia. You will develop and execute account strategies, manage budgets, negotiate contracts and ensure effective in‑market execution while providing field support and market insights.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow relationships with key clients, retailers and distributors.
• Develop annual strategic plans and adapt them for customer clusters.
• Analyse performance, identify business opportunities and define action plans.
• Conduct outlet audits, gather market intelligence and monitor sell‑out trends.
• Propose and track sales budgets, trade spending and recovery plans.
• Collect forecasts, negotiate contracts, joint business plans and promotional activities.
• Collaborate with Trade Marketing on sales arguments, planograms and shelf positioning.
• Validate distributor trading terms, reimbursements and approve payments.
• Monitor in‑store deployment, stock levels, KPIs and product assortment.
• Prepare internal reports, scan data and promotion evaluations.

Required profile

• University degree in Business, Management or a related field.
• Experience in field sales, key account management and/or FMCG merchandising.
• Knowledge of Travel Retail channels such as airport, inflight, border shops and low‑tax areas.
• Strong numerical, analytical and negotiation abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, reliable, organized and able to work independently.
• Willingness to travel 30–40% of the time.
• Fluent English; Chinese language skills are a major plus.
