Kitchen Aide – School Nutrition Support

About the role

We are looking for a Kitchen Aide to support nutrition and food science teachers at Zhenghua Secondary School. The role involves assisting with food preparation, storage, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment for student lessons.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in food preparation, ingredient portioning and kitchen set‑up for cooking lessons.
• Handle food orders, liaise with suppliers, and check deliveries.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene: mopping floors, washing aprons, cleaning utensils and equipment.
• Conduct stock checks, inventory management and stocktake during school holidays.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and equipment maintenance.

Required profile

• Preferably at least 1 year of experience working in a school or similar food service environment.
• Experience in inventory handling and nutrition/food science labs is an advantage.
• Possess a valid WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1 certificate (formerly Basic Food Hygiene).
• Submit the certificate before the start date.

Required skills

• Food Safety Level 1 (WSQ) certification.
• Basic inventory management.

What we offer

• Full‑time, fixed‑term contract (Jan 2027 – Dec 2027, possible extension).
• Monthly salary of SGD 1,800 – 2,200.
• On‑site work at Zhenghua Secondary School, Singapore.
