Kitchen Assistant/Cook – Outram Park (Urgent)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Kitchen Assistant/Cook to support day‑to‑day food service operations at our Outram Park location. You will help ensure meals meet nutritional, quality and statutory standards while working closely with the kitchen team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily food service operations and ensure compliance with nutritional and quality standards.
• Supervise meal preparation and distribution.
• Conduct regular checks on the quality and quantity of cooked and uncooked food.
• Assist with daily food preparation and cooking according to menu requirements and portion standards.
• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting and slicing.
• Maintain proper food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen safety.
• Assist kitchen staff with unloading and storing food supplies.
• Wash and properly store dishes, utensils, cooking equipment and cutting boards.
• Store ingredients and food items according to food safety standards.
• Remove garbage, replace garbage bags and keep bins clean.

Required profile

• Certificate in Food Hygiene Audit.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation, hygiene and kitchen safety.
• Able to follow food safety procedures and maintain cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work well as part of a kitchen team.
