Knowledge Graph & Ontologies Specialist

About the role

Capco, a Wipro company and global management and technology consultancy for financial services, is hiring a Knowledge Graph & Ontologies Specialist based in Singapore. You will lead the design and delivery of enterprise knowledge graph and semantic ontology solutions for financial services clients across Asia, serving as a senior practitioner and trusted advisor to insurers, wealth managers, private banks and capital markets firms. This is a hands-on, client-facing role in a growing data and AI practice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and delivery of enterprise knowledge graph architectures and domain ontologies for financial services clients.
• Define and govern ontological models for complex financial data domains such as insurance products, policy hierarchies, client entities, wealth portfolios, regulatory obligations and counterparty relationships.
• Advise clients on selecting, configuring and deploying graph database and semantic platforms such as Stardog, Neo4j, AllegroGraph and GraphDB.
• Translate business requirements into formal ontological schemas, RDF/OWL models and property graph structures.
• Integrate knowledge graphs with data lakes, lakehouses and AI pipelines, and with LLM and GenAI capabilities including RAG architectures.
• Support FIBO alignment, taxonomy development and data governance, and contribute to reusable assets, accelerators and methodologies.
• Support business development, including proposals, RFP responses, client workshops and thought leadership publications, and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years in data architecture, knowledge engineering or a closely related discipline, with at least 5 years in financial services.
• Proven track record of delivering knowledge graph or ontology projects in commercial environments with referenceable outcomes.
• Experience working with a graph technology vendor or a specialist semantic consultancy is highly advantageous.
• Experience in management consulting, technology consultancy or a senior in-house advisory role.
• Comfortable advising C-suite executives and Chief Data Officers in major financial institutions.

Required skills

• Hands-on proficiency with Stardog, Neo4j, AllegroGraph, Ontotext GraphDB or equivalent production-grade graph engines.
• Deep knowledge of OWL, RDF, RDFS, SPARQL, SHACL, SKOS and JSON-LD.
• Experience building and aligning domain ontologies, ideally with FIBO or similar financial data standards.
• Ontology authoring in Protégé, TopBraid Composer or vendor-specific tools.
• Preferred: LLM/GenAI integration (RAG, knowledge graph embeddings, GraphRAG), regulatory frameworks such as BCBS 239 or MAS data governance, MDM and data lineage, and prior experience in Singapore and Hong Kong.
