Kubernetes Migration Technical Lead

About the role

NTT DATA is seeking a senior engineering professional to lead container platform and Kubernetes migration initiatives to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). The role combines strategic migration leadership, hands‑on architecture design, and advanced L4 technical support within a managed services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end Kubernetes and container platform migrations to AKS, covering assessment, design, deployment, validation, cut‑over and stabilization.
• Define container modernization strategies, including re‑platforming and micro‑services adoption, and ensure governance of migration workstreams.
• Design and implement AKS environments, covering cluster architecture, networking, ingress, and Docker‑based containerization.
• Manage deployment pipelines using Helm charts, YAML manifests and GitOps approaches.
• Implement observability, logging and monitoring frameworks and drive Infrastructure‑as‑Code automation.
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) for automated build, test and deployment of Kubernetes workloads.
• Provide fourth‑level technical support for complex Kubernetes, container and cloud issues, performing root‑cause analysis and long‑term fixes.
• Ensure delivery of contracted managed‑services outcomes, drive automation initiatives and conduct quality audits.

Required profile

• Senior engineering experience with large‑scale Kubernetes migrations.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and align technical outcomes with business objectives.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, capable of handling critical incidents and performing root‑cause analysis.
• Experience working in a managed‑services or L4 support environment.
