Trading Platform Support Engineer

About the role

The Trading Platform Support Engineer joins the Production Systems Group (PSG) within the Technology Operations (TechOps) team in Singapore. PSG provides first‑line technical support for Systematica’s proprietary trading and middle‑office platforms, operating 24 × 6 across global markets.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, support and monitor the proprietary trading platform throughout the trading day.
• Troubleshoot time‑sensitive production incidents, prioritising trading continuity.
• Provide release updates and incident briefings to the trading team.
• Collaborate with Europe and America teams to enable a follow‑the‑sun support model and hand over issues at day‑end.
• Work with portfolio managers, quantitative researchers, developers and operations to reduce production risk.
• Manage updates from third‑party data vendors and prime brokers.
• Conduct user‑acceptance testing, release planning and documentation of procedures.
• Automate routine tasks through scripting and develop tooling for monitoring.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in trading technology or similarly complex environments.
• Proven experience in production deployment, release management and incident handling.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Windows and Linux environments.
• Scripting languages: Shell and Python.
• Configuration management tools: Ansible.
• Database expertise: MS SQL Server and T‑SQL.
• Source‑control systems: Git, SVN.
• Build/CI tools: TeamCity.
• Container technologies: Docker, Nomad, Kubernetes (optional).
