KYC Onboarding Officer, Private Bank Wealth Management

About the role

Barclays is hiring a KYC Onboarding Officer (Assistant Vice President level) embedded in the COO function of Private Bank Singapore. The role supports the Private Bank and Wealth Management unit in building out its platform, ensuring that client onboarding meets high business standards, global Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies and local regulatory requirements. The incumbent conducts thorough KYC reviews, gives technical sign-off on client files and keeps with local operational procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Support day-to-day Private Bank and Wealth Management processing, review, reporting and issue resolution for accounts, products and services.
• Help manage client relations so that client needs are understood and expectations met.
• Collaborate with teams across the bank to align and integrate Private Bank and Wealth Management processes.
• Identify areas for improvement and recommend changes, and develop procedures and controls to mitigate risk and maintain efficiency.
• Develop reports and presentations on performance and share findings with senior stakeholders.
• Track industry trends and best practice, and take part in projects that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Review client documentation, liaise with front office teams and engage with business, risk and financial crime stakeholders.
• Contribute to policy development, advise on complex issues and help resolve escalated matters.
• Manage risk, strengthen controls and develop new policies and procedures supporting control and governance.
• Analyse data from internal and external sources and communicate complex information to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Legal right to work in Singapore; applicants holding a Barclays-sponsored visa or requiring sponsorship must declare it.
