L2 Application Support Engineer (Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive L2 Application Support Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The role involves 24x7 production support for core banking applications, ensuring high availability and performance for our clients in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L2 production support for core banking applications on a 24x7 basis.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Java J2EE applications.
• Apply knowledge of core banking operations to resolve issues.
• Support Sunline Core Banking platform where applicable.
• Deliver application support with at least 2 years of experience in a support or development role.
• Utilise Java, Unix/Linux and SQL skills to diagnose and fix problems.
• Execute Unix commands and write SQL queries for data analysis.
• Assist with job scheduling, MQ setup and C:D configuration as needed.
• Use ticketing systems and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Elasticsearch and Grafana.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure SLA compliance.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in application support or development.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ownership mindset with a focus on meeting service level agreements.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and continuously improve.
